Book the test

• PSI, Unmanned Aircraft General (UAG), $175
• Book within the next 2 weeks while today is fresh
• Bring a government-issued photo ID

After you pass

• Wait up to 48 hours for the result to reach IACRA
• IACRA: Start New Application, Pilot, Remote Pilot, Other Path Information
• Enter the 17-digit Knowledge Test Exam ID, sign, submit

Then

• TSA background check runs; you get an email when it clears
• Print the temporary certificate from IACRA, carry it when you fly
• Permanent card arrives by mail later

Homework

• Practice sets in the workbook, gap list topics first
• Retake the mock exam until you clear 80% twice in a row
• Recurrent training every 24 calendar months after passing (free, online)
